Blended Travel Overall, 92% of all campers combined their trips with other types of travel or accommodations. Most notably, about eight in 10 campers integrated at least some of their camping trips with stays to visit family or friends. About three-fourths stayed in different types of accommodations during their camping trips. Combining different types of trips and accommodations has been popular in general, whether it's including hotel or resort stays (67%) or even staying at hunting or fishing camps (61%) or lodges (58%). Road Trips Road-tripping was also widely popular in 2023, with road-trip travel exceeding camping incidence by seven percentage points. Amongst road trips, camping was included 76% of the time.
