Experience the natural wonders of the Tennessee hills when you set up camp. Head of into the hills for a hike along a stream. Watch for bald eagles soaring over the treetops and beavers gliding across beautiful Chief Creek Lake. Many sites of er water views. Left onto Hwy 240 (also Turnpike Rd; 10.2 miles), then right on Hwy 241 (Napier Rd; 6.3 miles). 5 Crossville/I-40 Sweeping mountain views and wildlife will intrigue you at the only KOA on beauti- ful Cumberland Plateau. Most sites overlook four fi shing ponds patrolled by friendly mallard ducks. Play horseshoes, join in a hayride, shoot a game of pool or do laps in the pool. A knotty pine clubhouse is perfect for family reunions. Enjoy mountain/ pond views with a cup of joe on the porch at the log motel lodge. Walk, bike or jog the 1-mile groomed trail. Cumberland Mountain State Park and Catoosa Wildlife Management Area of er a chance for hiking and other activities. Miniature golf, 11 golf courses and Cumberland County Playhouse are close by. I-40 Exit 322: Head east 0.25 mile to 70E, then 4.1 miles to KOA. I-40 Exit 329: Head west to 70W, go 3.6 miles. Hwy 40 is between Knoxville/Nashville. KOA is between both exits/entrances. No need to backtrack either direction to I-40. 4 Clinton/Knoxville North The convenience of I-75 is just beyond your campsite, but you'd hardly know it at this peaceful campground in eastern Tennessee. Even the biggest rigs can set up here with ease, thanks to easy-on, easy-of access and large, level pull thru sites. A new Deluxe Cabin, Camping Cabins and tent sites (including Deluxe) are available. Enjoy the spacious swimming pool, 12x12-foot wading pool for toddlers, exercise room, expanded playground, volleyball, horse- shoes and cornhole. A full kitchen and covered pavilion are great for groups, with picnic tables seating up to 80. Visit the Museum of Appalachia, only a mile away. The pristine beauty of Norris Lake and the renowned trout-fi shing waters of the Clinch River are fi ve miles away. You're 15 minutes from the University of Tennessee and the Knoxville metro area.
