Its quiet wilderness setting is just of Trans-Canada Highway 1, minutes from the deep blue waters and beaches of Shuswap and Mara lakes. Sicamous rightly calls itself the "Houseboat Capital of Canada." After a busy day, head back for a foat in KOA's pool. Pancake break- fasts and movies are regular events in the summer. You can also fnd nature walks nearby. Camping Cabin rates include both one- and two-room Cabins. Pool: June 27–Sept. 4. They're the glorious back- drop for the campground's 40 acres of trees, fowers, quiet walkways and grassy sites. The large pool (55' x 36'), two playgrounds, basketball and other pleasures keep folks busy. Enjoy the free wireless Internet station around the ofce (there is a charge at sites), cable TV, an activity area, a duck pond and a meeting hall. Mount Revelstoke and Glacier national parks are the main draws, and your hosts can set you up with maps and outftters for a variety of activities. Walking trails are close by, as well as golfng. This KOA is just of the Trans-Canada Highway and minutes from town, with several charming restored Victorian buildings. Nearby activities include whitewater rafting, hiking, fshing, ATV tours, Revelstoke Dam, Grizzly Plaza (live music), hot springs and more! Log chalets (with air-conditioning and TV) are available. Located 3 1/4 miles east of Revelstoke on Trans-Canada Highway. 1 Clearwater/Wells Gray Known as "the waterfall park," Wells Gray Provincial Park boasts more than 250 cascades, including the spectacular Helmcken Falls. Drive there for a terrifc photo op or reach it on foot via the Helmcken Brink Trail. You'll fnd plenty of great trails to hike in this grand wilderness full of wildfowers and wildlife. Also nearby: river rafting, canoeing, mountain biking, lake cruises and kayaking. Set among pines and shade trees, KOA lies about 6 miles from the park. If you come unequipped for camping, book a Camping Cabin or a room in the on-site motel. Undo the kinks in the heated pool. Have fun with mini golf, sand volleyball and other games.
