This is the closest KOA to pristine Laurel Lake and Cumberland Falls State Park (known as the Niagara of the South), where you can view the famous "Moonbow." Visit Colonel Harland Sanders (KFC) Café and Museum, Big South Fork Scenic Railway in Sterns and Daniel Boone Country and Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, where Daniel Boone cut his way west in 1769. Enjoy nearby water rafting, horseback riding, hiking, canoeing and golf. At camp, enjoy the shade trees, swim in the pool, take a half-mile hike to Laurel Lake or a 2-mile drive to a public-access boat ramp. GPS is inaccurate, please call. 2 Bowling Green Bowling Green is home of the National Corvette Museum and the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant (check if tours are available). Other area attractions include Mammoth Cave National Park, Lost River Cave, Shaker Museum and Riverview at Hobson Grove. The campground has a great conference center that seats 100 banquet-style. With spring-fed lakes, fi shing is popular at this KOA (no license required for guests). Weekend activities abound April through October and include holiday cookouts, live entertainment, pool parties and much more. Enjoy horseshoes, a playground and a nature trail. Free Wi-Fi is available on most sites. This campground of ers clean laundry facilities, and it is close to shopping areas and a movie theater. It's less than 1 mile from I-64 with easy on/of access. This great KOA has a pool, mini golf, volleyball, playground, pavilions, big-rig friendly pull thrus, Camping Cabins and Deluxe Cabins with full baths, and rustic/improved tent sites. Cable TV available on select sites. Take advantage of the on-site hiking trails and a new stocked fi shing pond. Boat, fi sh or kayak on local lakes. Weekend activities from May to October as well as local festivals are listed on the campground's website or Facebook page. Appalachian arts and crafts are available in the country store. Nearby, visit the Paramount Arts Center, Highlands Museum & Discovery Center, Camden Park and the Country Music Highway. Pool: May 8–Sept. 14. Max pull thru: 85 ft.
